Artist’s Statement
I am endlessly intrigued by the spirit of New Mexico. The awe-inspiring expansive vistas of blue mountains, rugged canyons, and ever-changing cloud formations kindle my imagination. I sense the presence of the ancient cultures still alive here and I strive to translate the quiet beauty and dynamic light of what I perceive.
Biography
I was born and raised in southeastern New Mexico. My great grandparents settled in the Pearl Valley in the 1890’s, which was then part of the Territory of New Mexico.
I’ve lived in the Santa Fe area since 1974. I have produced clay sculptures and charcoal drawings in the past and I am currently painting in oils.
